Germany: My Dream

Germany has fascinated me for a very long time now.  When I was about ten years old, my dad taught me a German word that his grandfather had taught him.  I instantly became mesmerized by the language.  It was one simple word, but it got me hooked and left me wanting more.  My dad’s great grandfather came over from Germany when he was just a teenager to start a new life here.  He had one other relative with him, but other than that he was on his own.  After learning a little bit of my family history, I wanted to delve further into it, which led to me wanting to learn German and go to Germany.  When I was twelve, I started to plan that I would go to Germany with my sisters after I graduated high school; unfortunately, reality set in and I realized that I definitely did not have the money to go.  When I got to college and heard about the D-term trip, it sounded like a great experience.  I also heard that we would visit Christmas markets while we are there and that made me want to go even more; I love the Christkindl Market in Chicago and I decided that I had to go to an actual Christmas Market in Germany. 

            I also greatly want to learn about Germany’s history.  I have become a German fanatic; I want to learn everything about the culture and language that I can.  My friends all know how in love I am with the German culture and language and often times make fun of me for it.  In high school, I had a small German dictionary in my purse that I read during study hall when I had nothing else to do; my friends saw it one day and still tease me about it to this day.   

            I chose Germany because I want to finally be able to experience the culture that I have learned about.  I want to be able to see true German Christmas Markets and the pieces left from the Berlin wall. I want to be able to experience Germany for all that it can give me; I plan on absorbing every bit of culture there is there and keeping an open mind for every new thing I come across.  I am even thinking about eating meat while in Germany.  I have been a vegetarian for ten years now, but I know that in order to know the entire German experience, I have to be willing to eat meat.  I chose to go to Germany because I want to allow my passion for the German culture to be indulged by going there for three weeks and seeing the beautiful country and learning its history.  I have dreamed of going to Germany for quite a long time now, and I am finally able to live that dream.

Deutschland ist sehr interessant für mich.  Wenn ich zehn Jahre alt war, mein Vater hat mich ein Deutsches Wort unterrichtet.  Sofort habe ich in Deutsch verliebt.  Es war ein einfaches Wort, aber es hat mich faszinieren.  Mein Großvaters Großvater ist von Deutschland nach Amerika gekommen.  Er war ein Teenager wenn ist er gekommen.  Er ist mit einen Verwandter gekommen.  Sie haben ein neues Leben gewollt. Ich habe ein bisschen über meine Families Geshichte gelernt und habe mehr lernen gewollen.  Auch möchte ich mehr Deutschen Worten lernen.  Ich habe Deutsch mich beibringen versucht, aber habe ich nicht so viel Zeit gehabt.   Wenn war ich zwölf Jahre alt, habe ich eine Reise nach Deutschland mit meine Schwestern geplant. Später es war mir klar habe ich nicht genuges Geld gehabt.  Die Universität war sehr teuer und habe ich das Schulgeld zahlen gebraucht. Ich habe Deutschland warten gebraucht.  Wenn bin ich gekommen nach North Central und habe ich über den D-Term Reise gehört, habe ich gehen gewollen.  Auch, habe ich über die Christkindl Markts gehört; gehe ich sehr gern nach den Christkindl Markt in Chicago und möchte ich nach ein Christkindl Markt in Deutschland gehen.  Die D-Term Reise war perfekt für mich.  Es war nicht so teuer und nicht so lang. 

            Ich möchte Deutschland Geschichte lernen.  Ich bin eine Deutche Fanatikerin.  Ich möchte alles über die Deutsche Kultur und die Deutsche Sprache lernen.  Alle meine Freunden wissen meine Leibe für alles Deutsch.  In die Oberschule, habe ich ein Deutsches-Englisches Wörterbuch in meine Handtasche gehabt.  Ich habe es in meine freie Zeit gelesen.  Ich möchte so viel neues Wortes lernen könne.  Jetzt, ist mein Hauptfach Deutsch.  Ich möchte flüssig in Deutsch sein und möchte ich vielleicht in Deutschland leben.

            Ich habe Deutschland gewählt weil möchte ich die Deutsche Kultur können erleben.  Ich möchte den authentischen Christkindl Markt und den Berliner Wand Überrest sehen.  Ich möchte alles Deutschland gibt mich erleben; gegenüberstehe ich für alles aufgeschlossen.  Ich bin vegetarisch, aber denke daran den Fleisch essen.  Um etw zu tun erleben alles, sollte ich den Fleisch essen. Deutsches Essen hat viele Fleisch und wisse ich begrenze meine Erfahrung von nicht Fleisch essen. Ich habe Deutschland gewählt weil möchte ich meine Leidenschaft zufriedenstellen erlauben.  Ich möchte das schönes Land sehen und möchte ich die prima Geschichte erfahren.  Ich möchte nach meine Families Heimat fliegen.  Ich möchte nach Deutschland für acht Jahre fliegen, und endlich mein Traum werde wahr.
